Al Quds Index

In July 1997, Palestine Exchange (PEX) adopted a record for measuring stock price levels and determining the general trend of these prices known as "Al-Quds index" The closing prices of July 7, 1997 were adopted as a base point with a base value of 100 points. Now a day “Al-Quds index” sample of companies is composed of the 15 most active companies at the exchange.

 

Selecting “Al-Quds index” companies sample:

At the end of every year, the companies that are included in “Al-Quds Index” are assessed since the sample is modified according to the trading statistics of that year. The PEX criteria in this regard depends on a number of factors such as market capitalization, number of trading days, average of share turnover, and other trading activity factors.

3. Palestine Islamic Bank - ISBK (Banking & Financial Services)

4. The National Bank – TNB (Banking & Financial Services)

5. Quds Bank – QUDS (Banking & Financial Services)

6. Ahliea Insurance Group– AIG (Insurance)

7. Palestine Development & Investment - PADICO (Investment)

8. Arab Palestinian Investment -APIC- (Investment)

9. Union Construction and Investment- UCI (Investment)

10. Palestine Real Estate Investment - PRICO (Investment)

11. Palestine Telecommunications - PALTEL (Services)

12. Palestine Electric - PEC (Services)

13. Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications - OOREDOO (Services)

14. Birzeit  - Pharmaceuticals BPC (Industry)

15. Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals - JPH (Industry)
